We hold to the historic doctrines of the Bible for our faith and practices, including but not limited to:
1. The divine Inspiration of the original Scriptures in their Hebrew and Greek writings as giving our standards for conduct, creeds and practices (II Timothy 3:16-17).
2. God, Creator, Savior, Sustainer of all, existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1-3; John 14:16-17).
3. Jesus as God the Son, our Savior who died for us to save us, was buried and rose again, and will come again to take home to heaven His redeemed (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 14;1-6).
4. God, the Holy Spirit, who was sent to indwell each born again person and enable him or her to live for God (Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 5:16, 22-25).
5. Mankind, created by God to manifest God in his person as both a physical and spiritual being (Genesis 1:26-27), both male and female (Genesis 2), in design to marry, procreate and worship God and lead the world in an orderly, conservative way.
6. Genesis 3 tells how Satan upset this plan and messes things up for all. (Romans 5:12). Satan heads an evil kingdom in this world, including fallen angels, people and sinners. Jesus is able to save us and overcome His empire and its influence in us.
7. Salvation: God planned to save sinners. He does so through Jesus. First, by sending Him in the virgin conception and birth (Luke 1- 2); then in His substitutionary death on the cross for us (Isaiah 53; I Cor. 5:21) to pay for our sins; and finally to bring us successfully home to heaven in the resurrection like His own (I Thessalonians 4:13-18). Jesus fully justifies us from our sins (Romans 5:1-2), but we must believe and ask to be saved, (Romans 19:9-13).
8. The local church: as the place where we may develop our faith in God and grow. (Acts and Ephesians).
9. Judgments for things done in life (II Cor. 5:10; Romans 14:12), rewards and losses will appear.
10: Heaven and hell: both real places and eternal destinies after death, places to which people will be consigned for eternity, one to be avoided, and the other sought out (Rev. 20:12).
